According to @Glinner (Graham Linehan of Father Ted fame), after he tweeted this howler he was inundated with respondents explaining why the sign was, in fact, correct.

Well, of course, several letters have been omitted from both words ...

Sainsburys used to have "course ground coffee" (until I took a black felt tip to it!).

It's actually ground under horses' hooves at Ascot, so it was right all along.
