Specifications 1 (part 2)

We have been through the various elements that appear on a typical style sheet. Elements are useless without the specifications, a relationship analogous with computer hardware (elements) and software (specifications).

Typeface

We're all familiar with fonts – Times New Roman, Arial, Helvetica, Courier, etc. – and we can generally tell them apart. The technical descriptions of type are a little less well known.
